Paranormal Archives

Three Circus artists and a Shadow Projection performance take over the Georgetown Steam Plant in the Circus of Steam & Shadows: Paranormal Archives.

The Georgetown Steam Plant opens its doors once again this Halloween season. This time, you will join Oroki Corp Anomaly Study and record observations for our Paranormal Archives. Choose a shift and follow your designated Oroki Corp guide as you witness entities arise from light and shadow!

Circus arts has its place in theater as a medium for storytelling. Oroki Productions was established to give voices to our artists through this medium that gives us freedom, community, and a way to bring representation into performance art spaces.

This production was made with support from the Georgetown Steam Plant CDA.

Shadow Girls Cult is a queer shadow puppetry and projections duo based out of Seattle, WA. Using overhead projectors, adapted camera irises, 2-D shadow puppets, human silhouettes, and other analog technology, they create puppet magic for audiences all over the U.S.

Sean Vale is a Seattle based actor and singer who has previously appeared in productions with The Habit Productions at Seattle Public Theater, Baker Theater Workshop, Reboot Theatre, Tacoma Little Theatre, Valley Center Stage, Renton Civic Theatre, and Missoula Community Theatre.

Effie DuBois is a cabaret and burlesque performer and producer who has been gracing the Seattle stage for over 10 years. A founding member of the troupe Devil’s Advocates who have the longest running monthly burlesque show in Seattle history. You can catch her all across town in many capacities - from burlesque, to emceeing, singing and much more!

Gabby is a multidisciplinary circus artist based in Seattle, WA. She loves flipping in the air, spinning with her specialty props, or balancing on her hands when life needs to be turned on its head for some extra excitement! You can catch her training and teaching at the School of Acrobatics and New Circus Arts as well as Emerald City Trapeze Arts!

Lucky Dang

Flying Pole

Lucky is the Founder and Creative Director of Oroki Productions. Based in Seattle, they teach aerial at ECTA/SANCA and performed from coast to coast in shows like Trustfall with Acrobatic Conundrum, Seattle Vice at Triple Door, and festivals of all kinds. Recently, they've produced works such as Alice in Shadowland, Rice on Repeat, and the very Circus of Steam & Shadows itself.

Tanya Brno

Aerial Lollipop

With over 20 years of aerial performance experience, Tanya is a Seattle favorite, where she performs regularly at The Pink Door and Suite Lounge, and is a core member of The Atomic Bombshells Burlesque. Classically trained in ballet, she infuses burlesque and theatrical influences to produce her signature graceful, dynamic, and dramatic style. Tanya has performed in castles and hung from cranes, and has graced the stages at the Burlesque Hall of Fame in Las Vegas, as well as the Bohemian Burlesque Festival in Prague. She is also known as the inventor of the aerial spiral.
